Workshop Terms & Conditions

We are delighted to welcome you on an in-person workshop with Iona Creative Retreats. All workshops you book with us are organised and sold subject to the conditions below:

Due to the logistics, people and places involved, the full price is required at the time of booking.

Please note that course itineraries are prospective and may be subject to variation and change.

Please ensure you have insurance that covers medical and personal accident risks before and during the trip. This should include coverage for your activities, repatriation costs, cancellations, and curtailments.

If an emergency medical rescue or repatriation is needed, the costs will be your responsibility.

Your luggage and personal items are always at your own risk, and we aren’t liable for any loss or damage. We strongly recommend insurance that includes baggage and personal item coverage.

No exceptions or refunds will be made for any reason, including weather, injury/illness, or personal emergencies. If you arrive late, leave early, or can’t attend or complete the experience, we cannot offer refunds or credits. We strongly suggest trip cancellation insurance to cover your fees in case of travel issues, illness, or injury before you arrive.

If you are traveling from outside the UK, it is your responsibility to meet all passport, visa, and health requirements and to carry all necessary documents for your trip. We cannot be held liable if you do not fulfil these responsibilities, and you agree to reimburse us for any costs incurred due to such failure.

If you have an illness or medical condition that may impact your enjoyment of the workshop, please inform us at the time of booking or before travel (if the condition developed after booking). Likewise, please let us know of any special dietary requirements when you book.

Customers participate in the workshop activities at their own risk and are responsible for their own health and safety while engaging in activities provided by Iona Creative Retreats. By joining, customers agree to fully release and hold Iona Creative Retreats harmless from any claims or liabilities arising from participation in Iona Creative Retreats experiences.

Our creative experiences include gentle walks and creative workshops. While these are low-impact activities, a risk of injury is still possible. Customers should be aware of their own limits and participate only if they have no medical conditions that could impact their safe involvement in Iona Creative Retreats activities.

Cancellations

Our cancellation policy reflects the need to secure high-quality accommodations and other itinerary components well in advance.

For cancellations made less than 8 weeks before the start date, the full package price is payable.

We will always attempt to rebook a cancellation and if successful, you will receive a refund minus any applicable transaction fees.

Iona Creative Retreats reserves the right to cancel a workshop at any time for any reason, including if there are too few participants, or if the quality of the trip or the safety of participants is assessed by Iona Creative Retreats, in our sole discretion, to be compromised. A full refund will be issued in this instance.  This does not include related travel or accommodation costs; please ensure you are suitably insured.

If courses have to be cancelled due to a force majeure, ie: the happening of events outside our control, for example, natural disaster, war, or other unforeseen circumstances no refund will be given; please ensure you are suitably insured.

Please read and accept these terms and conditions: booking onto the Ways of Seeing workshop with Iona Creative Retreats assumes your acceptance of the above.
